REGIONAL FOCUS More than 300 cooperative leaders from 17 states gathered at CHS Your World Forum in February to hear from CHS and other ag industry leaders. Addressing the group about global market trends in their respective industries were, left to right, Cory Reed, John Deere; Jennifer Ozimkiewicz, Monsanto; and Rick McLellan, The Mosaic Company. Cooperative Leaders Focus on Ag’s Future Cooperative directors, CEOs and management team members took part in the 2014 CHS Your World Forum at Bonita Springs, Fla., in February. The forum helped participants clarify their current situations and identify steps to defi ne their future career and business paths. Speakers also addressed how the CHS enterprise builds customer value and how business partners factor into the process. Economist Jeff Rosensweig, Emory University, Atlanta, Ga., was the forum keynote speaker, outlining global economic infl uences. Gary Anderson, CHS senior vice president, Processing and Food Ingredients, shared how global food demand is creating opportunities for CHS in the soy protein value chain. For more on how the CHS enterprise builds customer value, Jim Loving, CHS senior vice president, Refineries, Pipelines and Terminals; and Darin Hunhoff , CHS senior vice president, Refi ned Fuels, led a discussion on a refi nery expansion case study. Brian Schouvieller, CHS senior vice president, AgBusiness–North America, provided an update on the nutrients and grain marketing businesses of CHS.
