Your CHS Town Hall Meetings a Big Hit
Over the summer, the CHS leadership team hit the road again to visit with producer- and cooperative-owners at Your CHS Town Hall meetings in 10 locations. The goal behind the meetings was to give owners an overview of what CHS is doing and to hear what owners are looking for from CHS, today and in the future.
Throughout June and July, Carl Casale, president and CEO; Tim Skidmore, chief financial officer; CHS Board members; and other CHS leaders, traveled to Peoria, Ill.; Kansas City, Mo.; Mankato, Minn.; Middleton, Wis.; Sioux Falls, S.D.; Des Moines, Iowa; Minot and Grand Forks, N.D.; Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Dayton, Ohio. They covered a range of issues, from how to engage the next generation of cooperative owners and leaders to how CHS can help member cooperatives anticipate needs and deliver value for their customers.
CHS teams reached out to general managers through phone calls prior to the meetings and during meeting registration to learn what was on the minds of producer- and member-cooperative owners. Gathering that input allowed for tailored discussions around issues relevant to owners in each region.
“Your CHS Town Hall Meetings were a perfect opportunity to hear what’s on our owners’ minds,” says Casale. “It was clear that owners are eager to hear how CHS can help them navigate the current industry down cycle in a way that will make everyone stronger in the future.”
Information gleaned from the Your CHS Town Hall Meetings will be used to focus CHS efforts in the coming year to remain relevant, trusted and valued in the eyes of owners.
